About Me
Who is this Michael Wu I keep hearing about?
Hello there! I'm Michael!
I am a first generation Korean-American from the Bay Area, and I would love to be a part of your next production. I have proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and as an Airman, I believe in integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. As a performing artist, I think it is our responsibility to share the stories of the human condition with genuine emotional connection and thoughtful consideration to the work. When this is achieved, we can change the world. I would like to accomplish this with you.
My Journey in Acting
I began my journey in the East Bay of Northern California. I have had the pleasure of performing on Chabot's Theatre in productions such as The Government Inspector, Lonestar, and Superior Donuts. During my time at PCPA, I have been honored to share the main stage with passionate artists in shows such as Twelfth Night, Freaky Friday, and The Crucible. I have recently completed my Emerging Professional Residency at the Milwaukee Rep Theatre where I was a part of many wonderful productions as well as the 2018-2019 Rep Lab. So long as the sun rises, I will rise and be ready for the challenge, for the next project. Please see photo gallery below for a closer look.
Current Projects
I am currently residing in Seattle, WA with my fellow artist's collective Y.H.T (Young Hot Thespian) and am signed with Big Fish NW Talent. During my time in the Pacific Northwest, I have been privileged to work and learn on sets for short films , commercials, and continue to grow as an actor. While theater acting will always be my passion, I am eager to sink my skills into other avenues of performance that have been fruitful in my growth and living.
